Discovery Program Learning Development Centers uses some information from you and your computer or portable device for us to properly serve you, as described below.

Participating Users

You are a Participating User if you create or comment on a blog post, or contact us for services via email or our contact form.  We collect personally identifiable information – name, email address and, in some instances, phone number – from Participating Users. This is how we handle personally identifiable information.

Sharing Personally Identifiable Information

Discovery Program Learning Development Centers does not share, sell or disclose your personally identifiable information and private registration information. We do not sell or rent our customer names, email addresses, or other personally identifiable information to third parties for any purpose. At any time you may request the removal of your website registration information by e-mailing us.

In addition, we do not provide links or information to users of the site that would allow them to correspond privately with other users of Discovery Program Learning Development Centers.

How We Use Your Personally Identifiable Information

We use personally identifiable information that you provide us internally ONLY.

  • We use personal identifying information from users in various ways to provide the services and support you seek. We use your email address in order to respond to your questions and submissions or to maintain your registration.
  • We use your email address and phone number  to contact you regarding services we can provide to you and your child.  This information is not shared with anyone outside the organization unless you specifically request us to do so.
  • From time to time we conduct surveys of users for the purpose of evaluating the use of our services, and we may use your information to contact you regarding your degree of satisfaction with the services we provide.

Cookies

A cookie is a piece of data stored on the user’s computer containing information about the user’s visit. Usage of a cookie is in no way linked to any personally identifiable information while on our site. For instance, by setting a cookie on our site, the user would not have to log in a password more than once, thereby saving time while on our site. If you reject the cookie, you may still use our site. The only drawback to this is that your access may be restricted from some areas of our site.

Log Files

We collect and keep track of the following information about your computer or portable device: the name of the domain from which you access the Internet (for example, charter.net); the date and time you access our site; the Internet address of the website from which you linked directly to our site; the operating system and version of the device you use; and the type of web browser and version you use. We use this log information to help diagnose problems with our server and website, and to administer our website.

We use IP addresses to analyze trends, administer the site, track a user’s movement, and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use. IP addresses are not linked to personally identifiable information. We do not share this aggregated demographic information with any other organization.  The log files are not linked to any personal information that can identify any individual person.
